Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

Hands-on physical therapy designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and work toward a full recovery.

A Personalized Manual Therapy Approach

At Bryn Mawr Sports Rehab & Physical Therapy, our physical therapists use a variety of manual techniques to help you achieve your goals and work toward a full recovery. Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization is part of that hands-on approach.

Your care begins with an evaluation of your movement and patterns. From there, your therapist builds treatment around your needs, limitations, and goals—whether you are returning to daily activity, work, training, or sport.

Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization is not a one-size-fits-all treatment. It is considered alongside therapeutic exercise, movement training, and other physical therapy techniques as part of an individualized plan of care.

1. Evaluate Your Movement

We evaluate and analyze your movement and patterns, then apply those findings to your rehabilitation and return to activity.

2. Apply Hands-On Care

Our therapists draw on their experience with a variety of manual techniques to support your individualized rehabilitation plan.

3. Build Toward Your Goals

Care is paired with physical therapy and movement-based rehabilitation to help you progress toward stronger, more confident activity.

More Than One Technique

At BMSR, treatment is focused on the whole rehabilitation process—not simply one tool or technique. Our clinicians combine hands-on care with movement analysis, exercise, and progressive rehabilitation to help address what is limiting you and prepare you for the activities that matter to you.

Our practice offers physical therapy first through Direct Access, which may allow you to see a physical therapist without first seeing a physician.
